December 30, 2004 The Doors to support slumlord lawsuit
The Doors will support the residents of the Morrison Hotel in their slumlord lawsuit. According to an on-line story, the band members will select and re-mix one of the songs from the Morrison Hotel album, and the proceeds will go to the legal fund for the Morrison Hotel residents. read it

Robby, Ray and Ian will be in-studio guests of legendary deejay & Doors fan Jim Ladd tonight on L.A.'s KLOS 95.5 radio station beginning at 10:00 p.m. KLOS does not stream live, so this is bad luck for those not in SoCal. (thanks, Dave)

November 24, 2004 Stephen Davis interview on radio & old Robby interview
Stephen Davis, author of "Jim Morrison - Life, Death, Legend" will be discussing his book along with lots of Doors music being played, between 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Boston's WZLX 100.7 on Thanksgiving night, November 25th. By the way, a 2001 interview with Robby Krieger is archived on that site, during which he plays and sings Spanish Caravan before performing later that night at Harpers Ferry. (thanks, Daphne)

September 28, 2004 Robby & The Ramones
'Ramones Raw' was released today. This is the DVD that includes Robby playing 'Take It As It Comes' onstage with them ... Robby told me it was at the Hollywood Palladium. Robby is wearing a white tee-shirt and pink baseball cap, and really burned on the track!! I haven't watched the entire DVD yet, but there is a nice booklet and more rare and behind-the-scenes clips than any Ramones fan could have hoped for. Highly recommended!

September 15, 2004 "Off The Record" in October

Robby Krieger performed with The Ramones at Hollywood Palladium in October 1992 for a performance of "Take It As It Comes." A DVD called "Ramones Raw" is due out on September 28th and will include that performance. read more

'War Toad' is the title of a re-mix of 'Peace Frog' which appeared on Robby Krieger's "Cinematix" CD, released in 2000. Numerous friends have written in recent weeks to let me know that a clip of 'War Toad' is the background music playing during commercials for ESPN's "X Games", an 'extreme sports' competition held each summer. July 28, 2004 Robby / D21C site is down <> "Boot Yer Butt!" redux
www.robbykrieger.com has been off-line for much of the last few days. While it was up yesterday, there was a notice posted that the site would be moving to a new server, and would be down for up to ten days. This includes The Doors of the 21st Century site, Tour Schedule page, and message board. I have no other information. Please don't panic if you cannot get into that site. It's not your computer!

'Boot Yer Butt!' - the 4-CD box set of bootleg recordings released by Robby Krieger in November 2003, is reported to be sold out according to the official site at www.thedoors.com However, my son's friend who works at Collectors Choice says that they still have 290 sets available, and retail stores who are out of stock can still order them through Hepcat. The "sold out" probably means that Rhino Handmade are now out of stock, but there are still sets available in the pipeline ... so if you didn't get yours, don't despair yet (but, hurry!) Robby Krieger appeared on "Married With Children" in 1992. The episode is entitled 'Rock Of Ages' and includes other 60's rockers Spencer Davis, John Sebastian, Richie Havens, Peter Noone, and Mark Lindsay. The storyline is that Al Bundy is competing to sell the most shoes to win a trip to Hawaii. During the last ten minutes of the show, The Bundy clan encounter Robby and the others in an airport lounge. Robby has both a speaking part and a singing part!!!! This show is being re-run on FX channel on Thursdsay, June 10 at 3:00 p.m. (west coast). Check local listings.

Robby Krieger is one of the artists profiled in "Jews Who Rock," a 2001 book by Guy Oseary and published by St. Martin's Griffin. With the Foreward by Ben Stiller and the Afterword by Perry Farrell, this is a pretty cool book. Each of the 105 artists included gets a one-page profile, and include Beck, Bob & Jakob Dylan, Peter Himmelman, Billy Joel, Courtney Love, Barry Manilow, Joey Ramone, Lou Reed, Slash, Chris Stein, and Warren Zevon.
