Yes, I have been off-line for a while. It has been a perfect storm of website hosting issues, software issues (expect formatting quirks), an ill pet, unpacking from a recent move,and trying to get ready for three separate events on the near horizon. Thank you to everyone who wrote to express concern about the site's disappearance. There were so many who wrote, please do not expect a personal reply if you were one of them. I’m not sure how much longer I will keep this site going, or how often I’ll be doing updates. When the time does come that I shut down this site for good, it is my intention to give fair notice and not just disappear like I did this time.

First and foremost, belated happy 69th birthday to Ray Manzarek. I hope he had a great day, but he was probably busy getting ready to go on the road to Mexico for several weeks.

The 'Break On Through' exhibit at Cleveland's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame was scheduled to close in March 2008, but the Rock Hall's latest member newsletter says that the exhibit has been extended to September 2008. (thanks, Helen)

Robby Krieger was an unannounced guest Saturday night February 9th in Beverly Hills. The event was at the Aqua Lounge and featured live music by Evan Marshall Band. You may remember Evan as being the vocalist who performed with Robby at Uli Jon Roth shows in 2006 and 2007. Riders On The Storm drum tech Owen Goldman was playing drums at the event. Evan Marshall of the Evan Marshall Band debuts a new one-hour internet radio talk show this coming Sunday night, February 24^th. “The Soul Kitchen” will be on http://www.bbstalkradio.com/ and his first guest will be Alan Graham, ex-hubby of Jim’s sister Anne. Alan is releasing a new book called “I Remember” with new, untold stories about Jim and the Morrison family. He’ll be telling stories, reading from his book, and answering questions. To call in to the show toll-free from the U.S., call 866-515-6977. To call in from outside the U.S., call 323-284-2554 (probably not toll-free).

GAP is selling new jeans for men called the Morrison fit. On their site they say "Morrison Slim Fit ... Be A Rock Star for a day in our cool slims. Higher on the fashion scale and lower on the waist with a slim leg opening." I'm not real sure about the connection, since obviously Jim was not famous for wearing jeans ... and maybe it's just a random name for their line! (thanks, Lou)
