I was tickled to have my two older sisters in tow at the Trenton show. They are both in their early 60's, and their musical tastes run to Yanni & Streisand. But, they were being good sports & actually offered to go to their first ever rock concert with me, and see first-hand what the fuss is all about that I make about Robby’s shows. I counseled them to get a good night's sleep the night before and to bring earplugs. One of the sisters said she didn’t think she should have to wear earplugs, and instead would ask Robby to just not play so loud!

I got us up front when the last opening band finished, & we stood directly in front of Robby’s mike stand. The band came on about 10:50 ... the sisters hung in until midnight .. and the show finished about 1:15.

Besides the usual set staples, show highlights they played were Who Do You Love; Not to Touch The Earth; Red Baron (by Billy Cobham); Wishful Sinful; You're Lost Little Girl; and they finished up with When The Music's Over. Spanish Caravan was also in the set, but no LMF or RHB.

There was a good crowd early on. Unfortunately, it seemed as though EVERYONE there smoked ... hard to take once you're spoiled by smoke-free clubs in L.A.

By the way, the sisters DID enjoy Robby.  They were transfixed at being so very close and watching his guitar playing, as well as his interaction with each of the other band members. It was a night they will remember (and maybe even do again the next time Robby plays in NJ)!    He may have new groupies!
