All of us at Collectors' Choice Music are thrilled to present these releases from Rhino Handmade, the internet-only ('til now!) label that takes a serious collector's approach to mining the Warner-Elektra-Atlantic vaults. Each Rhino Handmade release offers lavish packaging, rare tracks and the kind of completist attitude towards A&R that sets collectors' hearts a-fluttering. On top of that, each title (many of which have long been requested by our customers) is a numbered, limited edition, therefore bound to appreciate in price

Doors: Boot Yer Butt

We love it when big-name bands take revenge on bootleggers and put out their own superior live concert recordings, because that means we get to sell them to you! In this case, it’s the Doors’ own Robbie Krieger who has taken matters into his own hands and assembled a chronological, 4-CD set of the band at its live best, taken from the best sources possible (like soundboard, man)!

Each CD comes in a mini-jacket that mimics the look and feel of a real bootleg, and Robbie reminisces track-by-track for maximum flashback power. Over 50 choice unreleased bits (boots?) from one of the great live bands of the ’60s!

Includes

'Moonlight Drive' and 'Back Door Man' from a 3/4/67 show at San Francisco’s Avalon Ballroom, the earliest known live recording of the band;

'Break On Through' 7/9/76 Santa Clara, CA;

'Light My Fire' 9/30/67 Chet Helms’ Family Dog in Denver;
