LUDWIG DRUMS FOR SALE

I'm just selling the three vintage MOD ORANGE DRUMS 24" BASS, 12"
RACK TOM and 16" FLOOR TOM...a have an extra old seat I can throw in
(FREE) and a hard shell case for the bass drum ($50 extra). I'm asking $700
bottom line no-haggling cheapest price for the kit, which I think is
fair considering the extreme RARITY of this finish, but also the fact
that my drums are quite beat up.

The still sound great and look terrific at a stage distance. See
jpegs. They have a lot of scuffs and such. The rack tom has chipping
because it was played without a bottom head and banged against the bass drum
for years. The center of the bass drum was drilled twice for two
different modern rack tom mounts, one being the heavy duty ball jointed one
that is on there now. As with all vintage MOD ORANGE kits the violet
highlighted stripes have faded to near white, but the kit still looks
better than that re-issue LUDWIG did a few years back that was much more
 purple and pink than orange.

The imperfections in the kit prevent me from selling it to some
vintage drum nut, even though it is one of the most sought after items
LUDWIG ever produced. A snare drum alone in great condition went for over
$1,000 on EBAY this past year.  Auctions for these are few and far
between, but just this week a near mint-condition kit (with cymbals and
 stands) went for $4,250 plus $150 shipping....WOW!

Of course, it was DENSMORE that popularized this rare finish, which
came out in '67.  He played this style set on THE infamous ED SULLIVAN
SHOW appearance as well as many other famous DOORS concerts of that
 period.

My kit is a 1970. I'd like to see it get into the right
hands....someone who loves DENSMORE and THE DOORS or plays in one of the tribute
bands.  I'm asking a fair price and I cannot stress enough that the drums
SOUND great and LOOK really cool from a stage distance...up close you
can see that they've been through  a lot....and soaked up a ton of
great ROCK-N-ROLL vibes in the process, played by many famous underground
bands in the 80's and 90's.

My # is (310) 450-4485
