Los Angeles, CA -- Members of The Doors and their
management today expressed their support for U.K. DJ Paul Edge and his “Unlock
the Doors” tour, which begins its U.S. leg June 3 at Element in Seattle.
Edge’s remixes include “Riders on the Storm,” “Five to One,” “The Soft Parade,”
“Strange Days”, Light My Fire and others. Details can be found at

Although scheduling conflicts will prevent guitarist Robby Krieger, keyboardist
Ray Manzarek and Ray’s son, Pablo, from attending the Seattle opening as
initially planned – and sharing some new remixes of their own – the band members
underscored their enthusiasm for Edge’s work.
“We’re inspired by Paul’s creativity and imagination,” Ray Manzarek declared.
“He’s taken our original tracks to some incredible new places. We really regret
not being able to be there when he unveils this project in Seattle, because we
think audiences will be blown away. Pablo and I are going to do everything we
can to hit one of the other dates on the tour.”
Manzarek added that intends to participate in a phone interview with a Seattle
radio station in connection with the tour. Details are forthcoming.
Added manager Jeffrey Jampol, “We fully endorse Paul’s project – in fact we
consider ourselves fans. Everybody here is disappointed that we can’t make the
Seattle date, but we wanted to make it clear that Paul has not only our seal of
approval but also our gratitude.”
