Diary of a Doors Drama
W E E K N I N E
Monday, August 23 - August 27, 2004 After my own testimony and involvement the prior week, I decided to stop attending the trial and tend to several personal commitments I had made, including some overdue travel out of state. I expected the trial would be largely wrapped up in my absence, but learned instead that was not the case after all.
With thanks to my friends Avery and Greg who attended several days while I was out of town, along with additional input from several others, I will try to summarize my understanding of what occurred last week.
Monday all day as well as Tuesday morning, Ray was in the witness chair and was questioned by both Mr. Mandel and Mr. Forer.
Robby and his father, Stuart Krieger, were in court one of those days. Rich Linnell was also there, and sat with Robby.
Andy Morrison was there at least one day, but not with Rear Admiral and Mrs. Morrison.
The dollar amount of the countersuit that was lodged against John by Ray and Robby, has been reduced.
After the attorneys finished questioning Ray mid-day on Tuesday, the balance of the week was spent with the attorneys arguing to Judge Alarcon about his instructions to the jury. Court was dismissed on Friday at noon, and the attorneys were instructed to begin their closing arguments on Monday morning, August 30th.
