PHOENIX SHOW [a fan's review]

The March 28 performance at the Dodge theater in Phoenix by the DOORS 21st CENTURY was nothing less than magical. The 5,000 seat theater was packed, and from my 5th row seat looking back would be hard pressed to find an empty seat.

There was no opening act.  Showtime was 7:30 but the lights dimmed at 8:01 and after a few minutes Ray appeared from the left of the stage, then Ty, Robbie, Angelo then IAN followed.

LADIES & GENTLEMEN:  THE DOORS.

The crowd went into a frenzy and the band began to play ROADHOUSE BLUES. We stood up and did not sit down the entire show.   I managed to make it onstage during the final encore along with approximately 40 others singing and dancing.  What a great time, PURE ROCK & ROLL!!

This was my third show [Fontana, Hollywood & now Phoenix.)   WOW! It's all been great, A MUST SEE SHOW!!

The only negative was security was uptight and seemed to be very nervous at the end including turning the house lights on after MAGGIE M'GILL, with hopes to end the show BUT Ray came out and told all of us WE GOT MORE TO PLAY!   The band returned to play the long version of SOUL KITCHEN!!

The show ended at approximately 10:15 but we all wanted more!!
